Students in the Lower Merion School District won't go back to class on Monday, according to a letter from the district's superintendent.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Pa. — Students in the Lower Merion School District won’t go back to class on Monday, according to a letter from the district’s superintendent. Employees will be tested for COVID Monday to ensure adequate staffing and resources are available so students can return in-person.Masks will be required on school buses and in all district buildings.I hope you enjoyed a relaxing winter break.

The CDC and the MCOPH issued new guidance regarding isolation/quarantine periods and reporting. The details on how schools will be required to report are not yet available, but the guidance does rely on accurate reporting of symptoms, testing opportunities and universal masking. Assess our ability to staff schools and decide which schools, if any, may need to go virtual based on safety/supervision needs, taking into account staff who are currently in isolation/quarantine or who may need to do so.Update all nursing staff regarding the new reporting, quarantine/isolation guidelines and their role in managing the increased volume of questions and contact-tracing due to the current surge.

Omicron variant raising questions for North Texas school districts as kids return to schoolDespite the fastest surge in COVID-19 cases yet fueled by the omicron variant, some of the largest school districts in North Texas are still set to let mask mandates expire next month. Given that even the left is finally admitting the truth - that cloth masks are near worthless, they darn well better let them expire. The mask mandates are USELESS. In San Francisco covid cases increased 1,765% this month even though 92% of the city is particularly vaccinated, indoor vaccine passports are required and mask mandates are in place. It shouldn’t! But the news gonna make it a situation…over and over…and over..and over
