California's two largest school districts, Los Angeles and San Diego, have announced all classes will begin online only in the fall in order to protect students and staff against COVID-19.

In the joint announcement, the school districts said the research around coronavirus-era school safety remains"incomplete," and that many of the public guidelines were"vague and contradictory."

The announcements come a day after Education Secretary Betsy DeVos defended the Trump administration's aggressive push to reopen schools in the fall amid the worsening pandemic.

I totally agree with this. I live in Seattle and even though our cases aren't on the rise as high as Cali right now, I plan on keeping my kid home for online school and re-evaluate in January. I am not willing to leave it up to our schools to to keep my child safe from COVID.

Sadly the new USCIS rule for International students is really insane. They were left in the dark. The new memo needs a complete revisit. International students invested billions of dollars via fee and various ways. Hope things change soon.

Any VIRUS can be spread on OBJECTS ... like shoes. Walk carefully... don't step on what someone just coughed and expelled 5 minutes before you got there.

Kids are resilient and maybe we can improve education while we are at it. We must help our public schools

Here come all the copycat school districts, regardless of their local situation.

Good idea.

This makes sense for such large districts, but not for small cities. Let CA close its schools, and let the rest of the country open

Fact: The youth death rate for the common flu is higher than that for Covid. Do the leftist dictators want to close schools forever?

And I didn't pay alessa Cara nothing but to pay for her home insurance and the restaurant insurance and land taxes while she was in prison when she turned herself on for her wrong doing

And we know the Mob don't care that's why the President on 1980 had the down here to kill of as many African American they can

This reopening of schools are still an ongoing argument and both sides have points. Other countries are looking further into this as well as mentioned here:

Stupid. Just pretend that their “protesters“ then the Democrats won’t care

What's wrong with our school districts in Florida GovRonDeSantis - if your children were old enough to attend school, would you send them back?

only 2% of kids experience symptoms of covid, and there's not data suggesting they spread it to adults... this is essentially systemic child abuse

Let me guess - magically after Nov 3rd, kids will be able to go back. Watch....just you watch 🤔
