The showrunner said cops are 'collectively' portrayed 'too positively' on TV. (via toofab)

When asked whether Leight believes cops are portrayed"too positively" on TV, he said,"Collectively? Yes. Individually, am I miscontributing to society? I don't know. Collectively, are we? Yeah."

Leight's interview comes while the country continues to protest over the death of Floyd, a 46-year-old Black man who died while a white police officer kneeled on his neck for nearly 9 minutes in Minneapolis, Minnesota on May 25. Chauvin now faces a second-degree murder charge and the three cops with him -- Tou Thao, J. Alexander Kueng and Thomas Kieran Lane -- have been charged with aiding and abetting second-degree murder as well as aiding and abetting second-degree manslaughter. All four disgraced police officers face up to 40 years behind bars.

'Law & Order: SVU' producer says George Floyd's death 'has to come up' in future episode'We will find our ways in to tell the story, and presumably our cops will still be trying to do the right thing, but it's gonna be harder for them, and they're gonna understand why it's harder for them.' The title Law and Order We don’t care Typical Hollywood, can’t come up with anything on their own. How about doing some episodes where a white guy or girl gets killed by cops? Or better yet, where a group of blacks kill/assault a white person?

Joe Biden campaign seizes on opportunity to contrast Trump's 'law and order' messagePresident Donald Trump has said authorities need to 'dominate' the streets to restore order. But the Biden campaign is betting on changing attitudes nationally about racism, reflected by polls showing many Americans are sympathetic to the protests. Trump is exactly right. Everybody knows what he meant. But a little whiny triggered main stream media wants to make a big deal out of everything Trump says. How pathetic USA today and their counterparts really are. Trying to so division you should be ashamed of yourselves America needs healing, not conflicts. There's still a pandemic raging across the Nation. GoJoe😎 Biden and his campaign are aiding and abetting the rioters destroying American cities and murdering cops in cold blood. America does not need that leading it.
