LANCASTER, Pa. — The Lancaster County Government Services Building will re-open Monday after being closed to the public all week due to a water leak, county officials said Friday.

Workers spent the past week inside the building, located at 150 N. Queen St., performing repairs, testing for air quality, and relocating the offices affected by the leak, officials said in a press release. Air quality tests have returned good results in all levels of the building, and the county will continue to perform testing until all of the reconstruction work is finished, the county said.

Some of the offices damaged by the leak, including Recorder of Deeds, Property Assessment, Archives, Voter Registration, and the Public Defenders Office, will be temporarily relocated, according to the county.During the closure, all other county facilities remained open and operated normally, the county said. Staff in the affected offices worked remotely.WPMT would like to send you push notifications about the latest news and weather.
