Kawhi Leonard faces Raptors for first time since NBA title in Toronto

The Raptors played on the second night of a back-to-back after upsetting the Lakers, yet they played with more energy than a Clippers team that had not played for three days. He spearheaded the Clippers’ defense that held Toronto to 10 fourth-quarter points. Despite his poor shooting numbers and turnovers, Leonard logged nine assists and ensured the Clippers also featured Lou Williams , Montrezl Harrell , Patrick Patterson and JaMychal Green in double figures.

“We can’t really get caught up if he plays well,” Williams said. “There’s going to be some nights he doesn’t have it. We have to pick up the slack.” Shortly after Leonard stepped on the court, he shook hands with Gasol and Powell. Those moments lasted a few seconds. Then, Leonard focused on the game.
