SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Summary Jujutsu Kaisen has finally explained one of the biggest unanswered questions about Sukuna's victory over Gojo Satoru, giving fans some much overdue closure at last. Gojo's abrupt death and the outcome of his battle against Sukuna were highly unexpected, mainly because Gojo's victory seemed all but certain before chapter #236 came around with the bitter revelation.

The chapter explains that activating the slash requires Sukuna to perform the same "enma" palm sign as when he casts his domain. However, Sukuna hadn't yet assumed his fully reincarnated form at the time and thus needed to make the pact to defeat Gojo. That said, the repercussions of making this binding vow could very well lead to Sukuna's defeat, as Yuji and the remaining sorcerers already appear to be making the most of it, aiming right for Sukuna's remaining arms.

Interestingly, Sukuna can even be seen directing the attack as per these conditions in chapter #251 while using it against Yuta, serving as an early hint to Sukuna's new binding vow. Until now, Sukuna had been dominating the battlefield as the threat of the world-cutting slash constantly loomed above the sorcerers' heads.

The Final Battle Hinges on Sukuna's Reverse Cursed Technique Having taken heavy damage to his heart and now having lost two of his four arms, Sukuna is slowly finding himself weighed down by the sorcerers' combined efforts. Not only is Sukuna unable to cast his domain, but he is also no longer able to use his biggest either. That said, this brief advantage will last only as long as Sukuna is unable to regain Reverse Cursed Technique.
