In Princeton recently, over two dozen veteran officers learned jiu-jitsu tactics.

The combative subject would not give his hands to the police officers, so four of them descended on him, each aiming for an arm or leg.

“Work together, work together,” instructor David Kahn said, circling the officers as they struggled to subdue the man, who’d pulled his arms tight to his chest. Note to readers: if you purchase something through one of our affiliate links we may earn a commission.

Instead of a knife to a gun fight they are bringing jiu- jitsu to a gun fight. Good luck.

It doesn't matter what happens. Cops will always suck and the perps always 'Dindu Nuffin'. Just more stuff to complain about. Without knowing what to complain about... Glad they are getting this training which costs money too instead of weapons but then still cry Defund Police

Good. They should be. It gives them another method of de-escalation and proper self defense. I'd rather a cop put a drunk dude in an arm lock than shoot him.

They need more training on how to deescalate situations, not give them new ways to abuse their power.

Why do you hate cops?

I can't wait for police brutality to get 90% more brutal. If AC cops had this training, they wouldn't have needed to command their K9 units to attacked a beaten, drunk, and cuffed man (but they still would've done it anyway.)

Wait, this isn't jiu-jitsu..... This is McDojo Globo Bullshido..... This is a non-news tweet...

Well, this is dumb.

This is actually a good thing. This should be incorporated into training because it also gets you up close an personal with a lot of random people and you won't feel so inclined to use a weapon to cover your insecurities and it works for anyone large or small.

Why President Biden Bet on a Senate That No Longer ExistsLast Wednesday evening, Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema voted with the Republicans against changing Senate rules to allow passage of voting-rights legislation, crystallizing Biden’s frustrations with the Senate he once revered. This is one use of time. Or one could cover what that smell is coming from Sinema and her bank accounts or blackmail-ability. He didn't BET, it's not a game and it's not his game. He tried to do the obvious for the good of the country, and selfish interests blocked it. The fact that it took Biden a full year BEYOND his inauguration to figure this out perfectly exemplifies his myriad shortcomings.

Why pay TV operators are dropping Trump-loving cable networksDirecTV's decision to drop OAN and Newsmax's loss of several smaller systems are driven by economic pressure, not politics. It's cute that people are pretending it's anything other than a business decision driven by free market economics. They lost money on the deal. It's that simple. They should also drop Trump's propaganda network Fox News. What a lot people don't is Fox dropped their listing as a news network to an entertainment network so they can't get sued for making up lies about everything years ago.
