SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Summary Invincible season 2 has been a tragic one so far, but the series has already cleverly set up one dead main character's return for season 3. Invincible is an incredibly violent show, and while the series premiere killed off all kinds of characters, the main characters have been relatively safe since then.

Invincible Season 2's Funeral Scene Sets Up Dupli-Kate's Return A mainstay Guardians of the Globe member in the form of Dupli-Kate died in Invincible season 2, episode 5, but her return is already being set up. Invincible season 2, episode 6 sees Dupli-Kate's funeral scene take place, with her friends mourning her death at the hands of the Lizard League's Komodo Dragon.

Dupli-Kate's Return Would Make Invincible's Shocking Guardians Loss Less Important Close Although Dupli-Kate's return is part of the comics, it does have the adverse effect of making the Guardians of the Guardians shocking loss less important. The Guardians of the Globe had been previously undefeatable up until this point, with their battle against the Lizard League being the team's first big loss.

Shrinking Rae's Survival Won't Change Invincible's Dupli-Kate Plans Although the Invincible TV series rarely changes the comics, episode 6 revealed one of the show's biggest departures from the source material. Episode 6 showed that Shrinking Rae actually managed to survive the encounter with the Lizard League, with her comic book counterpart dying permanently after being eaten by Komodo Dragon.
