India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke at a ceremony celebrating India’s 72nd anniversary of independence from the British rule, while a strict military curfew, accompanied by a communication blockade, continues to be imposed on Jammu and Kashmir, a disputed India-administered territory ringed by the mighty Himalayas, since August 5.
To defend the harsh military clampdown on Kashmir, Modi invoked India's famous freedom fighter Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, saying it was important to realise the "dreams of Sardar Patel". Guha feels that looking back, he needs to revise his estimate of 50-50 in the light of recent developments –– especially the administration’s attitude when it comes to Kashmir.
It's not new. from the very beginning India is a coloniser. What they did with Nepal and Bhutan are the proof. Even their act with Srilanka and Bangladesh is not different. They are desperate to set boot licker government as they can get everything without giving anything.
India cannot colonize. The best solution is that let there be a referendum for the greater Kashmir region and let the people decide their own direction as an independent country belong to non. The Indian subcontinent including Pakistan should be divided by their unique identity
