Sad. Society pushes an unhealthy narrative to the point where people make choices that can be harmful, not just to self, but in this case, a child.

How terribly sad, and incredibly stupid. This precious baby died because their parents (the father doesn’t escape blame here) were brainwashed and dumb. Where was their family? like the anti-vaxxers, listening to more stupid people on the internet than educated professionals.

The internet didn’t convince her. She stated herself that she was only looking for opinions to validate her beliefs. It’s called the Dunning-Kruger effect. She *chose* to not listen to medical professionals because she believed she knew better.
