JERUSALEM - Hundreds of people attended the funeral on Sunday of a Palestinian who was fatally shot by Israeli police in an incident for which Israel’s new defense minister later apologized.
Palestinian officials said the 32-year-old man, Iyad Khayri, suffered mental health issues and decried his killing.
There have been many attacks recently in Jerusalem, leading up to this incident in which they misidentified it as an attack. This event is a tragic incident and we acknowledge the sufferance of the Palestinian family.
What happened to Iyad Khayri is truly a tragedy and Israel is truly sorry for this mistake and would never do such a thing purposely. The Israeli police wants to keep its citizens safe at all times and mistakes and such accidents can unfortunately happen.
This is another side of the world where the people get extradited from their place and brutality at it’s par.
Palestinians are the blacks to Israel. The Israelis don’t even see them as humans.
What was the Palestinian doing? Sitting at home? Gardening? Maybe shooting rockets at Israel?
