“Police units on patrol there spotted a suspect with a suspicious object that looked like a pistol. They called upon him to stop and began to chase after him on foot, during the chase officers also opened fire at the suspect,” police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said. Policemen and soldiers need to act on the best info they have at the time to judge whether or not they should use force, and often with the same information the decision to shoot can be the right one or the wrong one.
