Caitlin Boston donned a purple spandex bodysuit and a Korean wedding crown and danced to Lizzo's"Good As Hell" in the video, in which she also explains how she was able to pull off the remarkable feat.
Boston said it was a"humbling" conversation with her late dad that forced her to go into what she describes as"attack mode" to pay off her staggering debt. Boston's starting balance from both her undergrad and graduate school loans totaled $147,602.95 in 2009. Boston said she did all the usual things to save, like living in places with low rent and living with roommates, cutting costs at the grocery store and working extra jobs. She also said she demanded equal pay in her career.

I mean, I'm happy for her, but I thought there'd be more to her strategy than 'I asked for more money at work.' Doesn't seem like a strategy that will solve most people's student loan woes.
Oh wow.... good for you!!😎🤓🥰
This is depresssing
Thanks, I hate it
This is NOT a heart-warming success story. It's a condemnation of capitalism's inherent cruelty. 'While the video is carefree and light, Boston reveals in it that her father committed suicide while she was working to pay off her debts'
This is so fucked up.
absolutely fucking ghoulish.
Good lord that's embarrassing for America as a country..
Vote AndrewYang or BernieSanders for student loan forgiveness debtfree YangGang FeelTheBern
She had to work extra jobs and live cheaply.. someone with her amount of schooling shouldn’t -HAVE- to do that. That’s the Point!
I’d sooner celebrate anal fissures.
The New American Dream=$220,000 in debt 4 years in your adult life! Dont let boomers tell you anything, tuition was $50 bucks when they went to college. Let the bubble burst
You paint this as an insporational story, it is. However, Corporate Media doesn't care to ask why we are celebrating that she had to go into debt that much to improve her life?!
It's fucked up that the anchors reporting on it are so happy. They're shameless.
Disgusting rotten country
ABC trying to sell student debt as OK, and perpetuate the “by your bootstraps” myth. Pathetic. Most of the live audience were having none of it. ThePeopleAren’tFools
How uniquely American Amirite
Amazing she was able to do it, but sad she had to.
Well ABC loves banks. So keep paying. Regardless of bad news. Vote Bernie to upset ABC.
This is not to be celebrated its a tragedy that this young lady’s society put her in a position to have to fucking do this.
Heartbreaking, what an awful, inhumane system we live with.
This was done a few years ago by a male rapper , same thing he paid Sally Mae and he rapped about it ( can’t remember his name ) 🙄
So...if a Democrat wins in 2020 and institutes free college and eliminating all student debt....will she get reimbursed?
$200,000 is student loan debt!! How in the fuk. Why!! What degree is worth that much!!!
Girl, it's time for some serious 'you time' that involves not working and just chilling and travelling around. You've earned it!

Last time I saw a story like this, the guy owned his own business and his wife was something like a lawyer... I wonder if this one will be just as dumb.
how do you even go $222k in student loans are you loaning cars?
ok. this is awesome! I love it. So the secret is....get a good high paying job! It got me the thinking. If you want to become a millionaire just get a job that pays you a million dollars. See? Easy!
Nah, everyone will just wait until the next Democrat becomes president so they can have it paid off with no effort.
If she waited for new election & voted for Bernie Sanders, he would have cleared her tab.
Protip: work at Google
Stop it.
