After nearly two weeks of above-average temperatures, the cold front that passed through Houston on Thursday night finally brought things back down to more seasonable levels, according to the National Weather Service

before temperatures start to warm up again on Sunday. Even warmer temperatures are expected next week. But Houstonians should keep an eye on the forecast because one more winter chill might be in store before spring break.Temperatures were expected to be cool and clear with light winds. Temperatures will fall into the 40s north of Interstate 10 and around 60 at the coast.Saturday is also going to be dry with temperatures in the 70s, possibly approaching 80 degrees.

Our confidence is growing that a strong cold front will blast into Houston right before Spring Break, and the freeze line could return to Southeast Texas. We'll keep you posted.
