BOSTON —
Gorton told Janavs that her conduct was “just as onerous” as bribing a public official and that she needed prison to deter anyone else who “has the gall to use their resources" as she did. After the sentencing, one of her attorneys, John Littrell, issued a statement to reporters outside the courthouse with Janavs standing behind her. A man walking by shouted"Hot Pockets!"
After initially maintaining innocence, Janavs reversed course and pleaded guilty in October to fraud and money laundering conspiracy charges rather than face an additional charge of bribery. Janavs' defense team argued she should be spared prison. Attorney William Weinreb told the judge Janavs is “terribly ashamed” and takes full responsibility of her conduct but noted she paid significantly less than several parents and took part in the scheme for just 18 months. In contrast, one engaged with Singer for a decade.

GOOD!!!!
How is she any worse than these crooked politicians!!! Biden, Obama, crooked Hillary!! And Nancy
This is outrageous! Someone actually made a fortune creating Hot Pockets?
Absolutely disgusting. Every school age athlete and their parents should boycott any product by their company for life 🤬🤬🤬🤬
Get ready Lori and massimo
She could’ve spent a fraction of that money on tutoring...
JimGaffigan never in my life did I expect to see Hot Pockets and heiress in the same sentence!
Does she not watch the news 🤦🏼♀️

I wish so much that everyone who got in on merit, as well as those who were rejected because of people like her, could all spit in her f..ing face.
Do all these rich people have dumbasses for kids? None of them can get into colleges on their own merits?
What is wrong with these people? My son will get into an Ivy League next year on his own merit with hard work, sacrifice and long hours of studying. I’d rather live simple and raise an honest kid than be wealthy and a cheat
Imagine being an heir to a junk food company and your kids being too dumb to legit make it into an ivy league school.
Just curious, what type of penalty if any did the admissions office of said prestigious universities encounter for accepting brides? I'd really like to know! bribes CNN
