Cecil B. DeMille buried the set of the original silent 1923 version of The Ten Commandments, and it wasn’t uncovered for 94 years. The Ten Commandments is split between two stories: a retelling of the "Exodus" narrative from the Bible, and a modern-day tale about two brothers bickering over the teachings of the Commandments. Instead of dismantling the set after production ended, DeMille buried it.
