Hobart & William Smith professor suspended for pro-Palestine blog post

Senators are sworn in and will begin debate over the procedures for the impeachment trial of DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.Geneva, N.Y. — A professor at Hobart and William Smith Colleges has been "relieved of classroom duties" after publishing a controversial blog post.which started by saying "The images from October 7 of paragliders evading Israeli air defenses were for many of us exhilarating.

Gearan said Hobart and William Smith Colleges "recognize and affirm the importance of free dialogue on ideas." We have worked tirelessly to create an environment where we can discuss hard issues upon which we may disagree. But we can never and will never condone or praise violence, particularly when that violence is directed at individuals based on their religion, race or national origin.
