With HISD takeover nearing, parents and teachers keep fighting with Austin protests, petitions

More than 2,000 parents, teachers, students and community members signaled their opposition to a takeover by, a Houston-based grassroots advocacy organization. Parents, students, teachers and community members gathered to protest the takeover of Houston ISD by the Texas Education Agency on Friday March 10, 2023 in Houston.
