is no big deal — it's a decision as easy as what to have for dinner or what to watch on Netflix. On the flip side, it can be a deeply personal and difficult choice for a lot of people to make. For Kira Sterrett, our latest subject forseries, it was the latter. She didn't feel inspired to get a tattoo until the summer of 2016, when she went on a life-changing environmental trip to New Zealand. Then, she mulled it over for another four years to be sure about her decision.
Of course, the first step in getting tatted is figuring out what you want, but this part was easy for Sterrett since she'd been thinking about it for so long. While on her trip to New Zealand, she had many special experiences in nature, including one in which she was able to plant trees.
Once Sterrett felt completely comfortable and satisfied with the design and placement, Finelli went ahead and tattooed one line on her client's leg to ensure she was okay with the pressure and level of pain. Surprisingly, Sterrett didn't have any qualms about the pain and championed through the whole process without having to stop.
To find out more about Sterrett's first time getting tatted — including all the ins and outs and what you should know beforehand — tune in to the full video, above.
