The scale of anger is double that found when May failed to take the UK out of the EU in March. The Brexit Party soared in the polls earlier this year after Theresa May failed to leave, with the Conservatives coming in fifth place in the European elections. Johnson has sought to blame Parliament and opposition parties for the delay.
