Great Hearts suspends teachers due to improper background checks

Great Hearts Texas , a San Antonio -based charter network, has placed an undisclosed number of teachers on administrative leave after a state probe revealed that they didn’t complete mandatory background checks. According to an email Great Hearts Texas sent to families last week, the Texas Education Agency identified the issue while reviewing the charter network’s human resources-related compliance measures as part of an ongoing investigation.
