Sen. Ben Sasse raised eyebrows over the weekend with a commencement speech that has been referred to as tone deaf and insensitive in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nebraska Senator Ben Sasse Gave A Blatantly Racist Graduation SpeechThe school’s “2020 Online Graduation Celebration” was streamed on the city of Fremont’s YouTube page for all of their public schools on Saturday, with Sasse opening up the virtual graduation ceremony taking racist jabs at China. As a graduate of Fremont High School, I couldn't agree more. BenSasse is a pathetic excuse of a human and a disgrace to my hometown. Why do people think “race” when you hear the word China? It’s a country. It’s not racist to talk about a country. Don’t confuse “Chinese” with “Asian”. Couldn’t agree more. These kids have gone through so much and now to have this speech to look back on for their HS commencement. BS Sasse could have done more for these kids. At the very least, clean yourself up and show some respect for your alma mater.

Bernie’s supporters should’ve known how dangerous Trump was in 2016 and still didn’t vote like they couldn’t even be bothered to vote for Bernie.
