This is when Genshin Impact Update 2.7 will be revealed

Genshin Impact continues its march toward releasing its next new major continent, Sumeru, which should also come with a new elemental type, Dendro, only seen on a tiny amount of enemies so far. Given that Inazuma was released in July 2021, we may be getting pretty close, but again, due to recent delays, it could end up being more than a year between Inazuma and Sumeru. But I’d expect more clues as time goes on, and that it would be here by fall, at the latest.

MiHoYo has been busy lately, as they are also gearing up to launch a brand new game, Zenless Zone Zero, which should start up early tests soon. They have made billions from Genshin Impact, and while they continue to invest in the game, are spreading that much around for other projects. I would not expect development to slow on Genshin, minus delays like this one which has been out of their hands, given that it’s their golden goose.
