Fort Worth Alliance residents showed up in full force on Wednesday for the 6 a.m. opening of the grocer’s newest store and the first on that side of the metro area.The line continued to build at the Alliance store as more shoppers appeared after opening. The San Antonio-based grocer, in business since 1905, has a strong Texas following saying it caters to local tastes .“The line is wrapped around the building,” said H-E-B spokeswoman Mabrie Jackson 30 minutes after the store opened.
The Frisco store is just down the road from Kroger.the west side of Interstate 35 in the Bonds RanchThe first shoppers showed up Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. with a camping tent. H-E-B also put up a long temporary cover across the front of the store due to rain in the forecast.The new Alliance H-E-B has a True Texas BBQ restaurant with a drive-through and grocery curbside and home delivery.
