On March 30, Keller PD responded to a crash just before 1:30 p.m. near the intersection of North Main Street and Westport Parkway. When first responders arrived they discovered the unconscious 17-year-old driver in the black BMW and began lifesaving measures. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene. He was later identified as a resident of Keller, Texas.
According to Keller police, the preliminary investigation shows the"black BMW was traveling southbound on U.S. 377 at a high rate of speed and failed to stop for the red light at Westport Parkway before colliding with the white Toyota."At this time police say it's unknown if drugs and/or alcohol were a factor in the collision. The investigation is ongoing.
