A Lancaster police officer has been charged with sexually abusing three children while on and off duty in the late 1990s, authorities announced at a Friday press conference.
Andrew Scott Selby, 54, of Pequea Township, was an officer for the city of Lancaster for six years, ending in 2000. During that time, police said he sexually assaulted a 12-year-old, a 16-year-old and another preteen — one of whom was a rape victim whose case he was assigned to investigate, according to the Lancaster Bureau of Police.
Selby is in custody as of Friday on rape and sexual assault charges and awaiting arraignment, police said.
