Young was one of 20 ESPN on-air personalities laid off this week. Max Kellerman, Jalen Rose and Jeff Van Gundy were also part of the layoffs.He played at BYU from 1980-83. He threw for over 7,700 yards and finished second in the Heisman Trophy voting in 1983. His jersey was retired by the school in 2003.
