A Florida woman is suing the parent company of Velveeta's microwavable Shells & Cheese cups, claiming that she would not have bought the product had she known that it would take longer to prepare than the 3 1/2 minutes stated on the label of the box.

of more than $5 million, including statutory and punitive damages, plus interest and “costs.”

She accuses the company of violating state and federal laws against deceptive and unfair trade practices, fraud, false and misleading advertising, breach of express warranty, negligent misrepresentation and unjust enrichment, according to the newspaper.According to the lawsuit, the statement on the bottom left-hand corner of the box that claims the product is “ready in 3½ minutes” is false and misleading because the product takes longer, Ramirez alleged.

Ramirez bought a box of eight 2.39-ounce cups at several locations, including a Publix supermarket in Hialeah, “between October and November 2022,”

When you blame others for your bad 'cooking.'

Just when you think you have heard everything, this comes up.......

I like how everyone has ignored JackBrandon 17 troll. Let’s keep doing that. 😂

This is part of what’s wrong in the US. As for the suit, what is the high power on her microwave & what does she consider cooked. 3 1/2 minutes may be good for some & not for others, just like cooking anything else. I hope she & her attorney end up paying all attorney fees.

Of course she’s from Florida

A democrat.

IF a person brings this to a Judge they should be arrested and thrown into the looney BIN!!

First of all, who would actually eat that

Lawsuits like these should have consequences for the plaintiff.

Something GovRonDeSantis put her up to?

Fat America strikes again Instead of focusing on what really would have helped covid, we obsessed over masks and closing parks while fattys like this pretend obesity isnt the biggest health issue facing her

First world problems.

Get a job

As she had only 4 minutes. Three to cook, 30 seconds to eat, 10 seconds to brush her teeth and 20 to get her coat and keys and head out. Tying up the courts with bullshit.

TinaMarie_80s I bought them once. Followed the directions. Too watery. So I didnt buy them any more. What damages did this lady suffer? If I remember they cost like 3 dollars.

She'll win too. That's just how that world is now.

🤣🤣🤣🥺Florida !!!

Yay Velveeta! Makes Kraft look like haute cuisine.

Also not, in fact, “liquid gold.” Christmas jewelry projects ruined.

I eat them all the time. Takes no longer than 3.3 minutes to prepare.

Everyone’s a victim

My embarrassment living in Florida is endless. And, no, I can't just move.

She is probably extremely out of shape and lives on crappy food. She’s probably feeding her 34 year old son that lives in the basement and plays video games all day long. Dad probably works 6 days a week paying for everything.

This should immediately get thrown out and she should be fined for such a ridiculous lawsuit.

Does this 'woman' live at a place that rhymes with Par a Bago?

SMH

OK, so she gets her $3 back? How is this worth anyone's time?

Suing at “the drop of a hat”. Why not just tell Velveeta that there’s a problem or check the microwave settings. Or is this something GovRonDeSantis put her up to?
