A fisherman Wednesday afternoon found a dead man’s body washed up along the San Antonio River on the South Side.
The fisherman found the body tangled among trees on the river bank in Espada Park, San Antonio police spokesman Sgt. Washington Moscoso said. The body was in an advanced stage of decomposition. The man appears to have been 30 to 40 years old, investigators said. Moscoso said it appears the man died elsewhere and was carried by the river’s current amid recent flooding. It was too early to determine the cause of death.
