MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Tracking one more dry and sunny day today, ahead of more rain and strong storms that will move into the state Friday, lingering into the start of the weekend. A FIRST ALERT for Friday as some of the storms could be severe as they move across central and south Alabama.

Afternoon highs Friday will only warm to around 80 degrees under a cloudy sky. Showers and storms will continue into the nighttime hours. Lows will be in the 60s and 70s with some gusty winds.
