A fifth-grade student from Blue Springs , Missouri , has exceeded his initial goal of raising a few hundred dollars to help pay off his classmates' lunch debt . On Monday, sister station KMBC caught up with Daken Kramer , who has raised a total of $7,370 to completely clear any negative numbers off his fellow students' balances — and then some.His mother says donations just started pouring and never stopped.
We had a $1,000 donation,' Vanessa Kramer shared.The fifth-grader's motivations through the entire process have always remained the same. 'I just wanted to help my school out,' Daken Kramer said.The 11-year-old's efforts were not only financially successful but also earned him heartfelt messages from his schoolmates' families.
