A WSP press memo noted three 15-year-olds and a 16-year-old were inside the vehicle at the time of the collision, two of which were boys and two of which were girls. Two of the 15-year-olds were boys, while the remaining 15 and 16-year-olds were girls. Troopers said one of the 15-year-old boys was taken to Skagit Valley Hospital, while the other 15-year-old boy and 16-year-old girl were taken to Harborview Medical Center to get their injuries treated.

The following day, crews rescued three experienced hikers who got lost on the Bear Canyon Trail on Mount Baldy. According to authorities, the three lost hikers were found at 8,400-ft. elevation after a four-hour search.
