A 95-year-old former Nazi concentration camp guard who has been living in Tennessee was deported Saturday back to his home country of Germany.

Last year, a Memphis immigration judge ruled that Friedrich Karl Berger, now 95, could be deported because he assisted in "Nazi-sponsored persecution."

The court found Berger guarded a camp near Meppen where Russian, Jewish, Polish, Dutch and French prisoners were held. The judge said the prisoners were kept in"atrocious" conditions and were forced to do labor, working “to the point of exhaustion and death," the press release states. Acting Attorney General Monty Wilkinson said Berger was deported because the U.S. is not"a safe haven for those who have participated in Nazi crimes."

Now, this is the kind of deportation I can get behind!

Is anyone else surprised this man lived his whole life and fit right into Tennessee Sadly me either and that should say something

Bet he was a Trump Republican.

I forgot which documentary it was, but apparently lots of these people are in america, in very high positions.

My guess is that the evangelical group have forgiven this man, after all they have forgiven tRUMP.

Deported for following orders?

Good

Look at that, holding ppl accountable for their atrocities, not build statues of them or naming schools after them 🤔

What’s the difference

Good riddance to bad rubbish.

I'm not as sure of how right this is as some others here in the comments. 150,000 German soldiers were executed for desertion, and 50,000 more for minor insubordination. As a 19 year old solder, his only recourse was probably accepting his own death if he wasn't a willing party.

Be unconditional end Apartheid everywhere.

I’m assuredly of agreement with that of a deportation of the nazi that did guarding the JEWS so they wud’nt escape being murdered by hitler & associated nazis! Now how about deporting MTGAs nazi potusski killing off 500,400 human beings simply thru hatred

For everyone who says it’s too late. It is never to late to charge someone with war crimes. And even though he won’t go to jail his family will know just how much of a monster Gramps was

always the victim, eh?

Mar a lago was more appropriate than Germany

Geez what's the rush eh? :/

Tennessee...is that in the south by chance?

There are plenty of countries that have concentration camps NOW! Whatever this man’s level of shame for what he and hundreds of other German 20yr olds did, punishment at 95 is pointless. The world need to stop concentration camps happening now in 2021.

Now if we could just deport the rest of the Nazis here...

Why has it taken this long?

Justice always catches up with the bad guys, only a matter of time.

That's great and all but I'm sure he lived a privileged life in the US until this point sooo... 😒

You are never too old to answer for your crimes

TEROR KRIMINAL XOYN SURIYE NOO FRANCA, THANK YOU COMMENT . THANK YOU PICTURE.

Meanwhile the woman that got Emmit Till murdered is walking around free and happy go lucky

Good. But we’ve also got our homegrown neo-Nazis to deal with here, and the political party they’ve successfully infested.

He wasn’t caught till he was 95? Why ship him back now? We have more Nazis in this country than in Germany.

Well at this point going back to Germany is not that bad

This is how close we are to nazi Germany. The generation of those willing to follow hitlers orders and not dead and buried. It should be no surprise to America that we have anti Semitic people living within our midst. WWII WAS ONLY 80 YEARS AGO.

He must have felt great nostalgia during the Trump era. Glad that ancient POS is gone.

MAGA

Dumb

he was hiding in MarshaBlackburn's basement

There’s a slave trade going on in Libya.

Hopefully, they shipped him back in the cargo hold. Just like they treated his prisoners.

How could he be deported. That is so racist. I hope someone lets joe know about this. Joe said he wasn’t deporting anymore.

If only we are this tough to our home-brewed NeoNazi and White Supremacist groups.

Bye 👋🏾

Back to a country which copied ideas from the country established on the deaths and genocide of tens of millions of indigenous people, whose survivors still live in the prison camps they were placed in. United States of Hypocrites.

United States needs to send all these hate groups Nazi Germany to live their hateful life

Surprise he wasn't in Trumps cabinet.

This is example that a 95 years old from decades ago crime should be deported but one month ago crime we should just move on ?

WTF!! ' He was receiving a German military pension'..how does it take 50 years to find a guy, who term of service coincides with Nazi years, and Germany pays him yearly and ' nazi hunters ' cant find him until now does no one check where checks going or pensions from 36-45

Was he at the Capital on Jan 6?

If you have yet to see this, WATCH IT NOW!

Yeaaaa! He deserves to be physically and mentally miserable as poss for his final few years. It’s too bad it couldn’t have been much longer.

We have Oberlander in Canada who has been fighting the Canadian Government for years and costing taxpayers millions of dollars and he is still here!

Why Trump is still here

We will be hunting Retrumpicans cult members like that the next 75 years

It's almost like human atrocities have no statute of limitations eh? Ran to the U.S. to escape accountability. Tough luck.

These people who has done a lot of awful things are getting pension!!. I can't believe this

Bye Felicia 👋🏽

Raisi_tweet

Hunt them, like the animals they are, until they're caught or in the grave.

Not exactly news that they found a Nazi in Tennessee. The news is that they only found ONE.

Why is the German government paying pensions to nazis?

Good

Where are they now. Non deportables.

The south must be full of them. Considering the politics there, they must have right at home!

Wait until the people of Iraq get to start taking anymore who participated in the illegal invasion of their country. They didn’t cause 9/11

Justice has a long memory.👍

How the hell did he even make it in the USA unknown till now and how is Germany PAYING HIM STILL for being a NAZI POS? I thought Germany had changed. But they’re still paying NAZIS for their service

I like that

Now do WhiteSupremacists

It took the Biden Administration to get this done? How long has that Mother F’r been living in Tennessee!

Guarantee this guy voted democrat

Lil bit too late don't you think? The trip alone is a life sentence Courtesy of Mr. & Mrs. John Q Taxpayer btw

He was a guard though. I feel this is political.

Serves him right!

Acting Attorney General Monty Wilkinson said Berger was deported because the U.S. is not 'a safe haven for those who have participated in Nazi crimes.' Ummmm

He's getting a pension from Germany for being a Nazi!!! What?!

Why was he allowed to stay here so long ? Why ? I have no sympathy for him . And it seems pointless at this point to do this . I’m not really sure how he got here in the first place . Snuck in obviously. Ugh

Too wicked to die.

'So everyone who liberals disagree with is a Nazi?' ---Every Republican's reaction.

Nonetheless 74 million Americans praise Trump, and he is a misogenous racist!

Good.

Fuck outta here

He was 19 when the war ended... a terrible and prolific criminal, I'm sure.

This is true: ⬇️ Acting Attorney General Monty Wilkinson said Berger was deported because the U.S. is not 'a safe haven for those who have participated in Nazi crimes.'

Guese his oldman deportation has nothing to do with his role as Guard in Nazi years. If yes, it's wrong

“You’re forcing me out of my home!!!”.... oh the irony - I hope he lives to 150, feeling rather cheated by his age vs the sentence he deserves to serve

I'm quite certain that the Jewish Defense League will be interested in knowing further information on this swine.

krc062 Sad

Justice always catches up with the bad guys, only a matter of time.

No sympathy for nazis 🤷🏾‍♀️

Living in the Jim Crow era South was Home away from Home.

And this will accomplish what? He probably doesn't even know where or who he is.Remember.

Pay attention MAGA types. This country will not tolerate nazi like activities. Now, where to deport them to?

Good

Good. These people shouldn't get a pass just because they eluded capture for so long.

What about the local Nazis who attacked the capital?

LOL now do our police depts....

Dude resembles ScottWalker 🤭😆😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤯

He had no qualms with Jews being forced from their homes.

The war has been over along time. A guard is not one of the people who ordered or were key to such barbaric actions. It is far past time this era of history be left to the history books.

Maybe they will put his ass in prison.

Utterly ridiculous. He is 95 for God's sake!

Hey! We don't want him here.

Why? He shoulda run for office as a Republican

Whats the point, he's lived his life here all these years. If he were black they would've sent him back decades ago.

I have issues with arresting someone that’s 95 for war crimes. They don’t have long to live. Contact them. Expose them. Give them time to respond. Forgive them and move on. Hopefully they will ask for forgiveness and explain how they ended up in this mess

Any relation to Rick Santorum ?

He should have been sent to Mar-A-Lago

Good, we don't need additional people like that here. Have enough of them.

“After 75 years, this is ridiculous. I cannot believe it. I cannot understand how this can happen in a country like this. You’re forcing me out of my home.' ITakeNoResponsibilityAtAll Murder has no statute of limitations.

Yet we should “move on” from the insurrection a month later🤦‍♀️
