The English Premier League will restart on June 17, the league said. All games will be played without fans in attendance

The season will get back under way on that Wednesday with Aston Villa v Sheffield United and Manchester City v Arsenal, which are both games in hand.

The BBC, normally limited to a highlights show, will broadcast Premier League matches live for the first time since the English top-flight broke away from the Football League in 1992. The licence-fee funded network will have four games. “Today we have provisionally agreed to resume the Premier League on Wednesday 17 June. But this date cannot be confirmed until we have met all the safety requirements needed, as the health and welfare of all participants and supporters is our priority,” said Premier League Chief Executive Richard Masters.

National Women's Soccer League To Return In June To Play TournamentThe National Women's Soccer League will return in June to play a 25-game tournament. But it’s unclear how many of the World Cup champions will participate amid health and injury concerns. The world is actually a better place without women's soccer. For the NPR folks, do you wear a mask in public? It will be such a logistical nightmare to arrange this and protect everyone's safety just so the NWSL can sell some tv advertising spots that I wonder why they bother.
