A New Jersey middle school teacher makes a case for professional respect, as well as legislative inclusion to help resolve the shortage of teachers. Higher pay would go a long way as well.The teacher shortage crisis has hit home. Although the crisis predates the 2020s, the last two years of pestilence, violence and cultural battles have led New Jersey educators to call for emergency action.
