Snowangel11 Yes. My husband still hasn't managed to get through. Our state requires either a phone call, he can't get thru, or an in-person visit to their office, which isn't going to happen. No online applications permitted, sadly. The real number may be at least double what is reported
People who work in restaurants and motels in my town are now being told that they do not qualify for unemployment. Even though they were laid off as a direct result of CV19. They filed 3 weeks ago and were just now told they dont qualify. So WTF do they do now.
I don’t know how these unemployment offices and the websites could possibly gear up quickly enough. But a super human effort must be made by the government to accomplish it because people are going hungry and their lives depend on getting that unemployment insurance check.
