After signing a minor league deal with the Padres, veteran David Peralta collects two hits with Triple-A El Paso

The 2024 season had been a rough go for both Dylan Lesko and Ethan Salas. Maybe Saturday was the start of more good things to come. Lesko struck out seven over five strong innings and Salas doubled twice, helping high Single-A Fort Wayne to a 9-2 win over visiting South Bend. Lesko still walked four batters, but he allowed one run on three hits in lowering his ERA to 7.50. The start tied Lesko’s longest this season, tied for the longest since returning from Tommy John last year.
