Double amputee beats breast cancer diagnosis

Nearly 16 years ago, Yvonne Llanes lost both of her legs in an accident. During the pandemic, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, and is happy to report she’s cancer free.Even before her stage two breast cancer diagnosis in 2020, Yvonne Llanes knew her strength -- and her community.

With the support of fellow amputees and after months of determination, Llanes pushed herself to get out of her chair and walk across a stage in front of her friends and family. Nearly four years later, Llanes returned to the Hanger Clinic's Bootcamp for Amputees to celebrate another victory.
