Fans know Doctor Doom wears his legendary mask to hide his horrific scars, but Marvel's most diabolical dictator hides far more than his face.

Marvel's Doctor Doom is well known for being one of the most powerful - and ambitions - villains the heroes of the Marvel Universe have ever fought against, but he also has his share of weaknesses. Victor Von Doom is appearing more and more often in Marvel Comics, and he grows stronger with every appearance. But in Avengers Forever #5, Marvel reveals Doom's most fearsome design element hides his biggest weakness .

Doctor Doom and his rival, Reed Richards, were once acquaintances in the backstory of both the would-be dictator and the eventual leader of the Fantastic Four. Doom desired to create a machine that would be able to project one's astral form into different dimensions , but as smart as he was, he failed to realize a small error in his calculations. He ignored Reed's warnings , and turned on the machine, but it failed spectacularly, exploding and giving Doom his horrifically scarred face.

Doom Supreme's assertions about the other Doom's facial scars ring true - it appears that all Dooms are vain to an extreme degree. In 1985's Secret Wars, Doctor Doom acquired the Godlike abilities of the all-powerful Beyonder, and his very first use of the power was to restore his face. Doom may be powerful, but Doom is also highly protective of his image to the point where even his closest allies have never seen his true face.

Doctor Doom has no physical weaknesses like Superman's Kryptonite, but he does have mental weaknesses like any other man. His vanity has even deluded some of his many multiversal variants into covering their faces to hide the smallest of scars. Avengers Forever #5 is available now, but Doctor Doom's vanity can be found in nearly every story in which he appears.

‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ review: Marvel makes a messy horror movieIf you’ll forgive the pun, “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” is a strange movie. It’s one-third a sweaty act of Marvel brand expansion; one-third a somewhat confusing follow-up to the Disney+ series “WandaVision”; and one-third a pretty fun Sam Raimi action horror comedy in the vein of his “Evil Dead” series. FOX film critic Caroline Siede reviews Marvel's latest. It is not a horror movie in any aspect of anything it is a parody of horror movies and a science fiction thriller

With its B+ rating, the Marvel movie ties with 2011's Thor and narrowly beats out last year's Eternals, which earned a flat B rating. Because people went in expecting 40+ cameos. Lol Outstanding movie, shot so well, action was great and story, sets up things for another huge event 👀 Yeah but I liked the movie still.
