The pandemic has forced Disney’s theme parks to either remain completely shut or operate with limited visitors, causing a severe loss in revenue.

The company also warned that it may be forced to undertake additional steps such as not declaring future dividends, reducing or not making any contributions to its employees’ pension and post-retirement medical plans.

The company acknowledged that the impact of Covid-19 on its business will continue for an unknown length of time, and issues that have subsided in the past few months may re-emerge as new cases of the disease continue to rise sharply. The company added that it had resumed production of film and television content, including live sporting events but it has also incurred additional costs to implement health and safety measures and the productions are likely to take longer than usual.28,000 job cuts across its parks, experiences, and consumer products division. At the time the company had said that 67% of the laid-off workers were part-time staffers.

It’s not Trump’s fault Disney became immoral and turned off Americans. It’s not Trump’s fault this virus is politicized.

How much dividend they are issuing? $1.5 billions? Why not stop the dividend for one year to avoid the layoffs and help those employees that have dedicated their lives for the company? Nope, capitalism first then humans. Dumb

Totally normal for a company that’s stock is trading at an all-time high.

That's in addition 2the 32,000 laid off earlier in the year! Disney was good 2 it's employees, they paid them until early June but you have to see the figures. 10 million a month to pay it's theme park employees. I totally understood why it became a necessity to stop the payments
