A death investigation was underway at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs on Friday morning after the campus went on lockdown and dormitory residents were ordered to shelter in place.
The Colorado Springs Police Department and university officials said this was not an active shooter situation, but no further details were available about what happened. Students living in Alpine Village at UCCS — a complex that includes six separate dormitory buildings — were told to shelter in place Friday,there were no remaining safety concerns on campus and the shelter-in-place order was for the Colorado Spring Police Department’s investigation.. “Lock interior doors.
