Storms are expected to bring rain to Dallas-Fort Worth late Monday and early Tuesday before a brief spike in high temperatures followed by a cold front later...

The warm, dry and sunny weather that lasted throughout the weekend will likely end later Monday as storms are forecast to roll through Dallas-Fort Worth.

Thunderstorms are expected to develop across West Texas late Monday afternoon before moving eastward into North Texas late in the day and overnight into Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth. Some of the overnight storms in North Texas could grow in strength, making them severe, especially west of Interstate 35. If the storms weaken as they pass through the I-35 corridor, there’s a chance they strengthen again moving into East Texas.
