PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia police officer who shot and killed a 12-year-old last week, after several officers were shot at during an investigation, will be fired.
The officers, who were in an unmarked vehicle, activated the red and blue emergency lights, police say. Two officers returned fire. One of the officers then took cover while the other pursued Thomas Siderio Jr. on foot, police say.Philadelphia police say a 12-year-old was shot and killed by officers after police came under fire in South Philadelphia on Tuesday night.Police say Siderio was in possession of a stolen handgun. Outlaw said during a news conference Tuesday that all evidence collected so far indicates it was Siderio who fired at the police vehicle.
Attorney Conor Corcoran tells Action News the family contends Siderio was not in possession of a gun when he was shot.
Maybe sue the parents for doing such a poor job of raising him.

Total crap. The kid had a gun and fired on police injuring at least one. There was a reasonable expectation that their lives were still in danger. Not every police shooting is unjustified. The stepfather’s statement was BS and a clear sign they are looking for a pay day.

Yup a 12 year old on the street shooting a gun into cars & previously shown in picture with an ankle monitor is probably innocent. Maybe if the DA put him in junival detention where he could have gotten help,he might be alive. But the DA does not believe in accountability for all
First off, condolences to the boys family for their loss. Where were you when he’s out on the street with a stolen gun and firing for no reason I’ve heard at police. What were the officers supposed to do, let him get a few more shots off? Why would anyone want to be a cop today?
