Human-caused climate change is making hurricanes more dangerous. They are producing more rainfall, moving slower once they make landfall and generating larger storm surges along the coast. Hurricane Ida was a prime example of those changes, and scientists say storms like this will become more common as the planet warms.

Fueled by warmer-than-normal water in the Gulf of Mexico, Hurricane Ida destroyed homes, uprooted trees and cut off power to more than 1 million residents. It battered Mississippi and the already storm-ravaged state of Louisiana, and officials there say they expect the death toll to increase in the coming days.Hurricane Ida was just the latest in back-to-back storms that have slammed Louisiana in recent years.

See trail of destruction left by Hurricane Ida 01:17Hurricanes — also called tropical cyclones or typhoons outside North America — are being made more intense by the warming ocean, which studies have shown has absorbed approximately 90% of the planet's excess heat trapped by human-produced greenhouse gas emissions. And a recent study found that the planet is trapping roughly double the amount of heat than it did nearly 15 years ago.As the planet heats up, storms get stronger.

So you believe humans can effect climate change, but you don’t believe the government created weather manipulation?

this is WAY more important than Afghanistan! millions are without power and water!

Humans are so stupid and egotistical. They think they have Devine powers. Humans expect everything to stay as it is, never changing. If that were so, the Big Bang never would have happened.

Time to go to Mars.

oh, now CNN is run by Greta. sarcasm

CNN has difficulty with news. They most certainly are not weather experts.

ask the owners of the world who keep getting oil out of the ground

I miss the clean atmosphere April last year, during lockdown, no cars, no chimneys from factories, no noise....

I saw this movie!!!

Human caused climate change is evident in the American west where we divert water to make cities that should not be there This is speculation.

Very sincerely-where is the source it is ‘man-made’?

This young man died for freedom!!!! This is Never a fault? God please guide and protect his soul

This is an outright lie. Hurricane frequency and intensity has been trending down over the last 100 years.

Mother Nature may take back her delta and peninsula.

This is like a suicide due to our actions killing mother earth were also killing ourselves

Not buying the “human caused climate change” part.

Better stop mining all this lithium and nickel for our Teslas and IPhones.

Human built arms (guns etc), along w/the ease in acquiring them, have been the tool of many who has either killed, & or maimed little children etc. The powers that be, hasn’t done a DAMN THING about that so, “climate change”….,

Climate change is real, but assigning every weather event to climate change is BS.

That's going to take alot of WD-40.

Trading alone wasn’t really easy I lost money a lot of money before coming in contact with Investor_Teri ,this God sent woman is extremely good at this, I was able to make $15,000 from an investment of $5,000.all thanks to Terri Ijeoma.
