British Prime Minister Theresa May cries as she makes a statement, at Downing Street in London, Britain, May 24, 2019. REUTERS/Hannah McKay
In a seven minute speech, May said she would stand down on June 7, acknowledging that the support of her Conservative lawmakers had disappeared after her failure to deliver on Britain’s 2016 vote to leave the European Union. But it was at the end of her speech, when the usually composed prime minister, dubbed the “Maybot” by some for her robotic performances, almost broke down.
A last goodbye!
laurencro I don't want to see her face again...
She is crying cause she knows she had it good.. now she has to get a job and actually work for a living.
Vacillating England. To Go or not to go is a very simple question.
Beat it!
Ultimately everyone is promoted beyond their capabilities. Her moment came when she was made Home Secretary, the rest has just been verification of that factof life!
No sympathy for this cruel incompetent.
Poor May..
I felt kinda bad for her until she repeatedly tried to pass what was essentially the same brexit deal over and over. It didn’t work the first two times so what made you think it’d work the next three times
Beat if Heffa’ ! ☝🏻😲
May needed to step down after the first vote on the Brexit deal was rejected.
Go take a vacation girl. Get on a plane and come to California. We have legal weed and summer is just around the corner. Leave those soggy old Brits to figure out their own stupid mess. Brexit your ass outta there!
Windrush, Food Banks, Childhood Poverty, we could go on, shed no tear for the Lady but for the victims of this failure...
Teresa May has been through a difficult time with, it seems, little or no support. The pressure on her has clearly been phenomenal, goodness knows what it's been like behind closed doors. Good luck to her. X
pathetic meltdown, next
Extremely dignified, the way she carried herself in the middle of this unprecedented mess.
Time for some Brexit magic. Bring out the Potter!
Our Answer to her is~ Good riddence to the worst PM ever!
it sucks for anyone to lose their job. Well wishes TheresaMay
she has impossible job to do. brexit.
There will be no confrontation with the EU. Brexit never made any sense. Brexiteers failed to realize that Britannia no longer rules the world. In the 1800's Britain could bully the world. Not today.
Bye. Mind the door on your way out.
Terry, you are going to a much much better place.... Happiness is seeing You Know Who and You Know What in the rear view mirror....
Quite a moving moment
'Choking back tears, Theresa May is unhappy she couldn't wreck Brexit, and keep Britain in the eu'.
Ooo c'est triste. Thatcher aussi aimait son pays à en pleurer. Aimer les gens, c'est mieux
Довели до слёз женщину!
I almost feel sorry for her.
She deserves no even a little sympathy for her crocodile tears. If she really loved her country she would’ve not wasted 3 years on Brexit.
No sympathy for a woman like ....
I think she's stupid and made a mess, but she's on tough woman who basically gave up on a impossible job.
Why she resigned?
Tears of a traitor
Don't know much about the situation there or about May, but it seems anyone in that position is facing an almost impossible situation with Brexit. Have no skin in the game but it seems like anyone is facing falling off a cliff while a horde of wild ferocious animals approach.
Well, she gave it a tough fight to sell her ideology and history will remember her !
I got emotional.
Me, too, but they’re of joy.
She will stick around like a shitty smell until the end of July unfortunately. ToryVermin
Should Ian Hislop become the next PM?
