Chiquis, Kany García & more Latin artists who took part in ChallengeAccepted

, among other Latin female singers, have joined the latest viral challenge on social media that aims to spread messages of female empowerment and solidarity.

Titled #ChallengeAccepted, the women who are tagged by other women have to post a black-and-white photo of themselves and send this message along to five other women. "I carefully chose women who inspire me to accept this challenge. Women who support other women. Women who encourage other women to grow, and to do and be better ... Then send this message privately to five women who inspire you. Let's show the world that we are indeed strong women who are stronger together."

While it's unclear where the challenge originated, the powerful photos and positive messages started to become viral over the weekend of July 24 with the posts appearing on social media timelines. Chiquis posted a glamorous picture of herself in bed with the caption,"lets love, respect and empower one another." Meanwhile, the"Despacito" co-writer said"I hope this virtual challenge becomes a reality." Mexican singer-songwriter Paty Cantú captioned her black-and-white photo"always allies, never in competition."
