U.S war in Afghanistan lasted 20 years, they pulled out. The war is over. China will cut a deal with Taliban, recognize them as rulers of country, in exchange let the country descend into chaos and civil war and benefit. No one will keep China in check, they are a superpower.

If India and Japan play a large role, that shouldn't be too hard.
