Afghan President Ashraf Ghani flees to Tajikistan amid Taliban entering KabulThe move comes just hours after Taliban militants entered the outskirts of Kabul and sought the unconditional surrender of the nation's central government. Feckless leadership. How many billions has he pocketed? U.S leaving is not a bad policy, it's an inefficient pull out! We should be able to do better for our personnel, troops & native collaborators! US and China cold war is real. Taliban was initially ousted by US in its refusal to allow Afghanistan to become a gateway for oil from Central Asian countries. Taliban Take Over Kabul as Afghan President Flees CountryDemoralized Afghan security forces offered no resistance as the insurgents, who seized most of the country in just over a week, appeared Sunday morning on the capital’s outskirts. About time for the USA & allies to understand that remaining in Afghanistan will not change the fact that by force there is no lasting chance. We have the right to defend ourselves but we have to let the Afghanistan people to define their future moving forward. Was this president pocketing money for the last twenty years to escape? The US is so gullible. Of course. He failed his people. Biden was right to pull the plug. No Army, no matter the training, equipment or air force, can win if they lose the will to fight.

Afghan president was isolated before slipping into exilePresident Ghani quietly left the sprawling presidential palace with a small coterie of confidants — and didn’t even tell other political leaders who had been negotiating a peaceful transition of power with the Taliban that he was heading for the exit. And I suppose he's going to set up a government in exile, live in luxury, accept billions of dollars in support, while his country is overrun by terrorist who will now plunge the rest of the world into terror. That is all anyone needs to know as to why Afghanistan is in the situation it is in. So sad for the people.
