Donerick's Pub in Columbus, Ohio will no longer admit anyone under the age of 30 on weekend nights. Donerick's Pub, a bar in Columbus, Ohio , made a significant change to its business practices at the start of May, announcing that no one under the age of 30 would be permitted in the establishment on Friday and Saturday nights.

The pub also announced it would be implementing cover charges those nights, $5 for those who seek entry between 10 p.m. and midnight and $10 for those arriving after midnight up until 1:15 a.m. local time. The business also insisted in its announcement that it would only accept cash for the cover, no credit or debit cards or payment through apps like Venmo or Apple Pay.as an image on social media.

While many people online and in local media -- like WSYX -- joked about how the bar was seeking a more tranquil, less young, rough and rowdy atmosphere for older patrons, the Donerick's did not elaborate on the reasoning behind the admissions restructuring. Commenters on the business's Facebook post made observations suggesting the change came about as a result of a particularly disruptive fight that had broken out between persons under 30 the previous weekend.
