truck, the tiny trucklets that conform to certain Japanese engine displacement and size regulations, and these days we're seeing more and more making their way to the U.S. Some end up as shop trucks used to make short trips and pick up parts, while others have squeezed into regular Cars and Coffee events and even car shows from time to time.
The cute, boxy lines and goofy overbite profile have been radically transformed with an overwhelming helping of carbon fiber while its electronics were upgraded to motorsport-level tech. Under the LED headlights, the factory bumper is replaced with a carbon version and further down, a complex front splitter with aggressive wings was designed and built in-house at the shop.
As mean as the front looks, the rear might be even more angry, as the shop's low-slung rear diffuser's sharp fins sat just above the carpet and at almost roof level is an APR wing with huge uprights. One of those pedestals also anchors a fill point for the Radium Engineering fuel cell that sits at the very rear of the bed.
The rock-hard vinyl seats that came with the truck were swapped for secure Sabelt fixed-back buckets with harnesses and the bus driver-style steering wheel positioning remains the same, but is now topped with a Sabelt flat-bottom wheel. Just in front of the Hybrid shift knob and mounted to the custom carbon fiber dash is a Haltech keypad to control the Power Distribution Module.
